In the past decade, a new approach to building startup ventures has emerged - the Lean Startup Method. This approach is an alternative to traditional, new-product development methods and has proven to be an effective way to turn a great idea into a successful venture. Powerful tools like the Business Model Canvas are available to support the Lean Startup Method. Additional resources are also available.
The GW New Venture Competition encourages entrants to make use of these tools. Teams will be required to submit a Business Model Canvas for their startup in Round 1 and Round 2.
The Lean Startup workshops are designed to assist teams that enter into the competition, but are open to the entrepreneurial community. View the News & Events tab for opportunities throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
