The GW New Venture Competition is not only a way to get funding for your business. The competition also provides real world experiential learning opportunities to students, faculty, alumni and the community.
The competition works to foster an entrepreneurial climate at the George Washington University and allows Competition winners the opportunity to launch and operate their ventures while maintaining complete control of their business through the issuance of non-equity (for the university) based grants as prize money.
Throughout the year we host:
- Workshops and events that are free and open to the public
- Mentoring and networking opportunities for participants
- Office hours for GW students, alumni, faculty and staff
